    Add your business entry to the Holistic Groomers Global Directory for increased traffic to your business, and to show the world your commitment to a more canine-centred practice! This is a great way to raise your profile as a credible holistic groomer!

  • Webinars

    As part of our ongoing commitment to our students, we regularly invest in hiring pet industry experts to host webinars, live Q&A's and workshops relevant to your course work. These resources are all safely stored in a private YouTube channel only accessible to students, and can be watched back again at any time.

  • Supportive Network

    Having a reliable emotional support network is crucial in our self-care which is why we have created a Facebook community exclusively available to our students! Here you will be able to get direct help from our tutors and build fruitful friendships with fellow students!

Pre-requisites

Please note there are some pre-requisites to joining this membership to safeguard existing members and to ensure all members have synchronised ethics. Understand that these are in place to ensure that the HGA Member emblem remains a credible logo to showcase ethical practice on your website. Once registered you will be asked to complete the following before the rest of the hub is opened up for you.

  • Members will have to agree to all HGA Ethics

  • Members will have to answer a short written questionnaire

  • Members will need to provide a short essay/audio/video clip detailing why they wish to join the membership

  • Members will need to provide a link to a business page showing a post with link to the pledge they have agreed to

  • Members will have to regularly show evidence of their investment into furthering their education through attendance of both our webinars, and other resources

Holistic Grooming Academy Ethics

All members must comply with the Holistic Grooming Academy's Code of Ethics

  • Compassion

    Members must demonstrate a high level of compassion for others and hold back on judgement. It is important that members approach their practice with the individual needs of the animal in mind, and ensure that their needs are being considered at all times.

  • Choice

    Members must demonstrate an approach that considers the need for an animal to consent. Co-operation is built on trust using positive, force-free and updated techniques only. The use of outdated methods is not acceptable and would result on the immediate termination of their membership.

  • Care

    Members must put the needs of the animal and themselves before all else. This means appreciating that grooming is first and foremost the practice of care. Through a commitment to an updated education, members will be confident and competent in working from an animal perspective.

  • Creativity

    Members will be open to adapting their approach to grooming through careful observation and risk assessment. Understanding that there's no such thing as a "one-size-fits-all" approach to grooming. Using a degree of creativity, members are dedicated to providing a bespoke service every time.

  • Commitment

    Members are expected to invest in their personal and business development by making the most of the available educational resources, and attending as many of them live as possible. They are committed to developing their practice using positive and updated techniques.

  • Consideration

    Members are willing to consider the needs of their peers, themselves and other animals and will remain supportive. Members respect other members right to privacy and discretion and will not discriminate, bully or intimidate anyone which would subsequently result in the immediate termination of membership.

Please ensure you read all of the FAQ's before joining!

  • Are there any prerequisites to join this membership?

    Yes. There are a few hoops to jump initially and then ongoing evidence to show you are actively investing in the HGA approach. If you don't pass, you will be refunded your money minus a £10 admin fee. This is to safeguard our member's community.

  • Do I have unlimited access once registered?

    Yes. Once you have registered, you will be able to access the resource hub content as many times as you want for the duration of your subscription. More content will be added on a regular basis.

  • Are resources up-to-date?

    Yes! We continue to invest in hiring reputable and well-respected pet industry experts to host webinars, workshops and hot seats to ensure our students keep up-to-date with science. It is the responsibility of the member to ensure he checks in and makes use of the resource hub on a regular basis.

  • Can I cancel?

    Of course. You will incur a cancellation fee that equates to our admin fee if you cancel within the 7-day-cool-off period. If you fail to cancel within this time frame, you will not receive a refund for any money paid, but your subscription will be cancelled.

  • Do you have an affiliate program?

    This service will be coming soon to encourage all members to spread the word and raise awareness of a more animal-centred approach to professional grooming.

  • Do I have to attend webinars?

    We encourage members to attend at least 80% of the webinars and workshops in real time but understand that life gets in the way. We do require members to be able to demonstrate their investment into furthering their education through certificates of attendance, testimonials and otherwise.

  • How do I know that other members are practicing ethically?

    It's incredibly difficult to guarantee however, we put our trust in people having integrity and do all that we can to ensure our ethics and approach is being implemented in all members businesses. We have a selection of pre-requisites and further evidence that members must provide regularly. We also have mystery shoppers in place to spot-check members too.
